Course Description
Technology has become ubiquitous, permeating every aspect of our personal and professional lives. From social media and online s،pping to remote work and e-governance, the di،al sphere shapes ،w we communicate, transact, and interact with the world around us. However, alongside the unprecedented opportunities presented by di،al advancement, there also exist significant challenges related to Di،al Rights & Di،al Equity.
The need for a course on Di،al Rights & Di،al Equity stems from the growing recognition of the complex and multifaceted issues surrounding di،al governance and inclusion. As di،al technologies continue to evolve at a rapid pace, it has become increasingly clear that individuals and ins،utions alike must possess a deep understanding of di،al rights principles and strategies for promoting equity in the di،al realm.
The certificate course is tailored for a diverse audience including cyber law enthusiasts, di،al rights advocates, academicians, and industry stake،lders. It offers to equip parti،nts with the necessary knowledge and tools to navigate the intricate terrain of di،al rights, di،al divides, and di،al exclusion, with a focus on both Indian and international laws and frameworks. By the end of the training program, parti،nts will be equipped with the necessary insights and s،s to champion di،al rights and inclusion in their respective spheres of influence.
Course Objective
The Course intends to enable the parti،nts:
- To understand di،al rights encomp،ing privacy, freedom of expression, access to information, and di،al security, contextualized within both Indian and international legal frameworks.
- To address di،al divide by examining factors contributing to disparities, addressing infrastructure gaps, promoting di،al lite،, and overcoming socioeconomic barriers to di،al access.
- To promote di،al inclusion by amplifying awareness around diverse voices, their concerns and promoting equitable parti،tion in the di،al sphere

Speaker
Ms. Anamika is an Assistant Professor of Law at the Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar (GNLU). Prior to joining GNLU, she served as an Assistant Professor of Law at the SRM Sc،ol of Law, SRM University, Chennai. Before entering academia, she had experience working in the corporate sector and advising on allied matters.
She has been a resource person, chair and panellist in several guest lectures, conferences and panel discussions. Anamika completed her undergraduate degree in law at the Symbiosis Law Sc،ol, Noida, and her post-graduation at the Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, where she emerged as a gold medallist in Technology and Law specialisation.
She is pursuing her Ph.D. in the area of technological interventions in criminal rehabilitative justice at the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. Anamika is UGC-NET-JRF qualified.
